Prairie Singers is a not-for-profit mixed-voice community chamber choir that provides local singers with an excellent opportunity to participate in a high-level choral experience in a variety of styles. Our annual season includes weekly rehearsals through January and February and culminates in a concert (or two) near the beginning of March.
We keep our ticket prices in a very affordable range, in order to ensure that exposure to the beauty and joy of live choral music is accessible to everyone. It’s not uncommon for a Prairie Singers concert attendance to be in excess of 250 patrons. Our revenue goal for each season is to meet our expenses. Since ticket sales are our only source of revenue aside from donations, we have found that our revenue often falls a little short of our modest expenses.
Your support, if granted, would be put toward covering our main expenditures, including honorariums paid to our conductor, accompanist, and special guest musicians, as well as rental of rehearsal and concert space, printing of promotional materials, and purchasing of sheet music, including copyrights.
